Die US-Punkrocker von GREEN DAY blicken im nächsten Jahr auf gleich zwei Jubiläen: Ihr zeitlos perfektes, bis heute zu den bedeutendsten Punk-Veröffentlichungen aller Zeiten zählendes Album Dookie feiert 30. Geburtstag, während ihr nicht minder erfolgreicher Meilenstein American Idiot 20 Jahre alt wird. Grund genug, die Alben auf ihrer „The Saviors Tour - Celebrating 30 Years of Dookie & 20 Years of American Idiot” zu zelebrieren. Neben exklusiven Festivalauftritten bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park stehen am 10. und 11. Juni auch Headline-Open-Air-Shows in der Berliner Waldbühne und auf der Hamburger Trabrennbahn Bahrenfeld an.
GREEN DAY wurden 1986 in Kalifornien gegründet und sind mit mehr als 75 Millionen verkauften Tonträgern weltweit und 10 Milliarden kumulierten Audio-/Video-Streams eine der meistverkauften Bands aller Zeiten. Die fünffach mit einem Grammy ausgezeichneten „Rock and Roll Hall of Fame“-Mitglieder veröffentlichten 1994 ihr Breakout-Album Dookie, das über zehn Millionen Mal verkauft wurde und zehnfachen Platinum Diamond-Status erreichte. In der Folge wurde dem Album die Popularisierung und Wiederbelebung des Punkrock zugeschrieben. 2004 erschien die Rockoper American Idiot, die allein in den USA mehr als acht Millionen Exemplare verkaufte und den Grammy Award für das beste Rockalbum mit nach Hause brachte.
Zusammen mit dem Erscheinen ihrer neuen Single „The American Dream Is Killing Me“ kündigte die Band die Veröffentlichung ihres mit Spannung erwarteten 14. Studioalbums Saviors an, das am 19. Januar herauskommen wird.
Auf ihrer „Saviors Tour“ werden die Kalifornier in Deutschland von den Lokalmatadoren und Publikumslieblingen DONOTS unterstützt, die 2024 ihren 30. Band-Geburtstag feiern. Mit Heut ist ein guter Tag haben sie Anfang des Jahres nicht nur ein Posi-Punkrock-Album herausgebracht, sondern konnten ihre erste Nr. 1 in den Albumcharts landen. Gekrönt wurde der Erfolg von einer Tour, die aufgrund der enormen Nachfrage in größere Hallen verlegt werden musste.

The following items may not be brought to the Waldbühne Berlin:
- bag or backpack larger than DIN A4 (21,0 x 29,7 cm)
- bulky items of any kind (suitcases, baskets, helmets, buggies, stick umbrellas, selfie sticks etc.)
- food and snacks
- technical devices except mobile phones (i.e. notebooks, tablets, cameras, any audio- or video recording devices)
It is allowed to bring necessary medical devices and substances. In this case, please use the entrance for wheelchair users (at the right from the main entrance) and show corresponding proof to the security staff.
3. ACCESS AUTHORISATIONS AND RESTRICTIONS
Extract from the General Terms and Conditions of the organiser, DreamHaus GmbH:
3.1 Children under the age of 6 are not permitted to enter. An authorised third party may not (co-)purchase a ticket for children under the age of 6. Children between the ages of 6 and 14 may only attend the concerts if accompanied by a person with parental authority who also has a ticket. The person with parental authority must supervise the child during the entire event. Young people between the ages of 14 and 16 are only admitted to concerts until midnight without the written permission of a parent or guardian. The corresponding written authorisation must be presented upon admission. Young people between the ages of 14 and 16 will only be admitted if they can prove their identity with a valid child or school ID. Admission to concerts and musical performances after midnight is permitted for young people aged 16 and over if they are not accompanied by a person with parental authority. Persons with parental authority are generally the parents, but not persons with parental authority (e.g. an older friend). The aforementioned rules apply exclusively to concerts and not to any dance events. The legal provisions of the Youth Protection Act (JuSchG) apply.
